EVG folding mini batteries have not been available for a long time. We have developed this conversion to keep you on the road and allow you to use inexpensive batteries available locally or from NYCewheels.
NOTE: If you have a 24 V Ebike, you only need to replace the old battery with two 12V 7.5AH SLA batteries.
You need to place your order here and then send in your old battery pack with the order # to get it converted to 36 volt 7ah sealed lead acid.
This includes the soneil 3602-xlr charger, 3x 7.5 or 9ah SLA batteries and the labor to convert your battery box.
This does not include the battery box - you must send yours in to be converted
This configuration will be a bit heavier than the standard setup but will give you a bit more torque. The batteries can be charged on or off the bike as long as they are plugged together.
Your existing battery case will be modified to hold those 2 standard SLA batteries plus a wiring harness to tie in a 3rd battery which will be sitting on your existing rear rack. (or hanging from the handlebar as shown in the picture. The connector wire will be running inside the plastic panel and feed out through the back or front, pretty much invisible.
You need to have:
- Your battery case (the black box with
the carrying handle) You do not need a charger, we will supply you with a new one.
- A rear rack
(available in your local bike shop or or from us)
- A soft trunk (if you like it to look nice) to hold your 3rd battery (the trunk bag is available in your local bike shop or from us)
