Here at NYCeWheels, we've been anxiously awaiting a three-day span of nice weather. As April alternates between beautiful 60-degree weather and frigid freezing rain, we're waiting for spring to finally arrive in full bloom.
Whether you've braved the harsh winter and the weather has taken a toll on your bike, or you've been waiting for that sunny day to dust off your wheels, you're probably going to need a tune-up for the summer. In addition to tire pressure, wheel alignment, brake adjustments, and the normal bicycle maintenance, your electric bike battery may need to be checked out for the summer season. Call us in advance to check the turnaround on repair work, because a lot of people want to prepare their rides for the summer.
In other news, Bert has become a local celebrity, Shoi is spending a lot more time in the store with us, and Tom has taken up the art of gourmet pizza making in Brooklyn, a very technically advanced and profitable craft. Our new sales rep, Mark, has been splitting time between customer service, test riding all of the bikes, and writing newsletters for the website. Be sure to direct all compliments to him when you visit the store. And as always, Mr. Bailey is doing well, and is the first dog to test ride all of the new electric bikes with Bert.
2) Commuter Check
The federal government has passed an incentive that allows employers to cut commuting costs by up to 40%. Wait, what? That's right, bike commuters can choose to apply commuter check vouchers for $20 per month to their favorite participating bike dealer. That's $240 per year, tax free, straight from your U.S. government. Use your tax dollars on any bike-related expense, including repairs and storage fees. Finally, the government is paying us to cycle!
e.g. Buy an electric bike and start depositing your $20 every month and you will receive a brand-new battery for your bike about every 2 years - paid for by bail-out money. (its yours after all)

4) Brompton artwork, 09 custom bike updates
Our PhotoShop guru Dominik has really gone above and beyond creating the Brompton custom color selector and folding animation of the Brompton below.
Actually Dominik is a very talented actor that enjoys playing around with PhotoShop when in-between acting jobs.
In case you are Steven Spielberg and are looking for a lead actor, you should check out his website, Dominik Tiefenthaler - we think he plain rocks.
Preview main frame and fork and rear frame colors. Awesome color combination's are possible, now you can get an idea what your new, shiny, custom ride will look like before you whip out your credit card.
