You're riding a bicycle in a big city without a helmet? What are you crazy? Gone are the days when helmets were considered "uncool." One bad maneuver, one ill-fated pothole, one car driver on his cell phone, and you can go flying over your handlebars. Wouldn't it be great to be able to come out of that with a bump on your head, rather than drooling all over yourself in a vegetative state for the rest of your life? That's what I thought. Wear a helmet.
