The Voloci NiMH has a nickel metal hydride battery system that is both lightweight and removable. These features make this the more portable of the two Voloci's, though they also make it more expensive. The range on the NiMH version has exceeded 20 miles per charge at the top speed of 30 mph. Because the pack is easily removable, a second battery pack can be purchased to double the range to 40 miles on a charge. This range extending battery pack is easily carried on top of the main pack. This feature is not available in the Voloci SLA version.
