The Wonderful World of Xootr Kick Scooters

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Xootr kick scooters

So, you're thinking about buying a kick scooter, and maybe you're feeling a bit daunted by astronomical number of scooters on the market. You want something fast, lightweight, portable, reasonably priced and, most of all, fun. So, which one will it be?

Before you end up opting for one of those cheap little scooters, allow me, if you will, to suggest a Xootr kick scooter. Xootr is simply the best name in scooters on the market, and I can back that statement up. With FACTS! So sit back, relax, and read on to see the worlds of form and function coalesce seamlessly into the most perfect short-distance transportation. Ever.

30 minute video review of the Xootr kick scooter:
First off, you should know that Xootr scooters are manufactured right here in the U.S. of A. (Pennsylvania, to be more precise) by people with a passion for design and environmentally friendly transportation. These aren't your typical, mass-produced scooters. Xootr scooters have got soul. They are designed not only to get you from A to B, but to be aesthetically pleasing as well. All those with an eye for detail, look no further.

Now, down to the nitty gritty.

Xootr Scooter Wheels: The Need for Speed

All Xootr kick scooters are equipped with 180mm wheels of polyurethane molded onto aluminum. The size and make of the wheels offer the least possible rolling resistance of any scooter or skateboard, meaning that there is less friction between the wheels and the ground. These wheels allow the Xootr to coast upwards of 7mph on a slight decline. Compare this to, say, the razor scooter, which has 100mm wheels, much like those you'd find on inline skates. Razor scooters, on the same decline, only coast up to 5mph. This means that Xootr scooters are 40% faster when it comes to coasting. Impressive, no?

Xootr scooters can cut your travel time (on trips up to one mile) by about 70%. Translation: If it takes you 20 minutes to walk one mile, it'll only take about 6 or 7 minutes on a Xootr kick scooter. Plus, it's more fun gliding to your destination than walking to it.

Xootr kick scooters: Can you say "Portable"?

Ah, the hustle and bustle of daily life. With all the time you spend working, playing- doing whatever it is you do- the last thing you need is your mode of transportation holding you back. Enter Xootr kick scooter. After zipping through your commute, Xootr scooters fold up quickly (we're talking less than 10 seconds here) into an easy-to-carry shape. Forget parking, forget locks; you can take your Xootr anywhere. "How?" you ask? The secret is in Xootr's ergonomic pin.

Designed by NASA...just kidding, but it was designed by some very talented folks, the ergo pin is a simple and smart gadget that keeps your scooter locked into either the folded or unfolded positions, depending on where you put it. The pin slides easily in and out of the scooter when the top of the pin is pushed in, but stays securely in place otherwise. With this one little pin, you can go from ready-to-roll to ready-to-do-anything-else with an ease that is hard to come by in this day and age.

Oh, and did I mention that Xootr kick scooters are incredibly lightweight? Xootr scooters weigh between 9.4 and 10.4 pounds, depending on which model you're riding. Carrying a folded Xootr scooter is almost effortless- even going up stairs!

Xootr Scooters: In Summation

There are lots of options out there when it comes to kick scooters. What sets Xootr scooters apart from the rest can be summed up in on word: craftsmanship. While other scooters may be cheaper, Xootr's are made with care by people who really stand by their products. Every deck (with the exception of the Xootr MG scooter and the Xootr Cruz kick scooter) is CNC machined from a single piece of aluminum- these things are virtually bulletproof! They are built to last and to perform like no other. So the only question left is: Which Xootr kick scooter do you want?
